Eric GAKUBA

GAKUBA Eric is a CPT holder and currently working as an institutional development consultant at Indigo Int. a firm that specializes in providing business development and entrepreneurship services in the EAC region. He has previously been working as the Training Expert with Private Sector Development Project in South Sudan. He is also following a Masters of Project Management at Mount Kenya University and a graduate in Economics from the University of Rwanda. He has worked with the Private Sector Federation, the umbrella body representing the private sector in Rwanda and South Sudan for a combined period of nine years from 2005 to early 2014 under different positions and responsibilities, an institution that exposed him to the entire East Africa Region, during the Rwanda and Burundi integration process into the EAC.
Mr. Eric Gakuba has tremendous experience working with Businesses, Entrepreneurs, the Government & its departments, Development Partners and Nongovernmental Organizations.
He has developed experience in facilitating businesses and business owners, to develop their businesses at different stages of business growth, right from the idea generation, developing business plans, coaching through accessing finance and business sustainability.
He also has experience in facilitating organizations’ internal management organs to fulfil their governance functions notably boards of directors and business community’s elected committees to represent their fellow business owners. He has abilities to also facilitate an organization to develop, implement and achieve its strategic objectives, in addition to giving direction and leadership toward the achievement of organizational mission, vision, strategy and its annual targets guided by the core values of the organization, in an increasingly becoming competitive and global business environment. He is an excellent team worker, equipped with multicultural experiences and interactions, high level of commitment to quality work standards, creative ways of approaching different work situations and targets, critical abilities, attention to details, trustworthiness, appreciates the importance of effective two way communication, experience of working under pressure and meeting strict deadline, as well as visionary leadership geared towards achieving organizational objectives. As hobbies Mr Eric Gakuba enjoy facilitating and rendering services to businesses, entrepreneurs and organizations, Networking and meeting new people, Community events and services to needy members of our community, Reading books news articles and magazines, Playing soccer and is a player and founding team member of Flair FC (www.sites.google.com/site/flairfckigali), Learning new ways of doing things.
