Godfrey Gakwandi holds Master’s Degree in Project Planning and Management and currently doing a Master’s degree in Public Health at the same time undertaking Professional Doctorate in Leadership Development. Mr. Godfrey is currently working with Tearfund Rwanda and Burundi as Program Manager based in Kigali.
Mr. Godfrey has over 12 years of progressive experience in Non-governmental organizations notably AJPRODHO, World Vision Rwanda, Plan International and Tearfund serving in different position particularly, Program Management, M&E and Advocacy.
Mr. Godfrey is skilled in program management, Coordination, budgeting, Networking and advocacy, training and Facilitation skills in a diversity of settings using participatory approaches, policy reviews and development,
Fundraising, fundraising strategy and Donor courting, M&E and Research.
His specific areas of expertise include but not limited to;
· Food security and livelihoods
· Economic empowerment and Poverty reduction
· M&E and Research
· Disaster Management and Climate Change
· Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
Mr. Godfrey is fluent in Kinyarwanda (Native), English, French, Swahili and other local languages in the region. Always motivated to translate organizational vision and mission into reality and influence positive changes to most disadvantaged among us. He believes in empowerment approach and promotion of locally available resources in communities to bring positive and lasting change in the lives of most poor.
