Redempter Batete has over Twelve Years of experience coordinating youth, gender and social development work in the public with UN and NGO sectors. Today, Redempter is the Director of Gender Promotion at the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion in Rwanda, where her major focus is on coordinating the development & implementation of gender equality laws and policies, coordinating the implementation of national & international gender equality commitments, building capacity of stakeholders involved in the implementation of the gender equality policies and programs and resource mobilization for gender promotion programs among others. Redempter is also certified by the Rwanda Management Institute (RMI) as Performance Improvement Consultant.
She volunteered in the area of Rescue and Refugee support for women and children and currently, Redempter volunteers in her local community where she trains Women and Youth on Civic values and Patriotism. Redempter is a Young African Leader from the Mandela Washington Fellowship. She has Research, Policy, Strategy development and analysis skills, Advocacy and resource mobilization skills as well as strong Coordination skills. She holds a Master’s Degree in Gender Studies with special focus on Gender and Public Policy, Development, Social Transformation and Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies.
